ENERGY-ABSORBING LANYARDANSI Z359.13 · OSHAMODEL LIS61SDL
The Frontline LIS61SDL Oil and Gas 6 ft Single Leg Lanyard with Snap Hooks is a single-leg shock-absorbing lanyard for oil and gas work, where ordinary webbing soaks up grease and grime. Its polyester webbing carries a repelling coating finish that sheds oil, dust and water, so it keeps its strength and flexibility in harsh conditions and needs less upkeep. Double-locking snap hooks on both ends connect harness to anchor, and the external shock absorber pack is built for up to 6 ft of free fall.

Frontline LIS61SDL oil and gas lanyard questions answered
Is the Frontline LIS61SDL lanyard CSA certified?
No. Frontline lists it as meeting or exceeding ANSI Z359.13-2013 and applicable OSHA standards, not CSA Z259. Check with your authority having jurisdiction whether ANSI/OSHA lanyards are accepted on your site.
What does the LIS61SDL oil-repelling webbing do?
The polyester webbing has a repelling coating finish that sheds oil, dust and water, so grease and grime don't soak in. The lanyard keeps its strength and flexibility in harsh conditions and is easier to keep clean.
Should I pick the LIS61SDL or the twin-leg LIS62RDL?
The LIS61SDL is one leg with snap hooks, for work from a single anchor. If the worker has to move between anchors and stay tied off the whole time, the twin-leg LIS62RDL with rebar hooks, also sold here, is the one to choose.
How much free fall is the LIS61SDL built for?
The external shock absorber pack is built for up to 6 ft of free fall. Work out your fall clearance from the manufacturer's instructions before you tie off.
Does the LIS61SDL lanyard need inspection before use?
Yes. Inspect the webbing, stitching, shock pack and snap hooks before every use and have a competent person inspect it on a schedule. Remove it from service after any fall load or if it shows cuts, wear, corrosion or damage.
