Frontline's galvanized-cable SRL for general construction and exterior work, in 30 ft (RPG30), 50 ft (RPG50), 70 ft (RPG70) and 100 ft (RPG100). The 3/16 in galvanized steel cable stands up to sharp objects and outdoor use, the high-impact polymer housing is built to take jobsite abuse, and the swivel anchorage eye comes with a self-locking carabiner. Is the Frontline RPG SRL CSA certified? Compliance in Canada

Is the Frontline RPG CSA certified?

No. Frontline rates it to ANSI Z359.14-2021, OSHA 1926 Subpart M and OSHA 1910 and tests it in an ISO/IEC 17025:2017-accredited lab. For a CSA-marked SRL, see our Safety Direct range.

RPG or RPGLE: which one do I need?

The RPG is Frontline's standard overhead cable SRL. The RPGLE (also on FPC, 25 ft and 50 ft) is the leading-edge version for foot-level tie-off over an edge. If the anchor is below the dorsal D-ring or the cable can run over an edge, you need the leading-edge unit.

Which length should I choose?

Match the length to the anchor height plus the working radius. 30 ft covers most single-storey overhead anchors; 50 ft, 70 ft and 100 ft are for tall structures and wide work areas.

What connects the RPG to the anchor?

A swivel anchorage eye fitted with a self-locking carabiner, so the housing hangs from a D-ring anchor, beam clamp or cross-arm strap without extra hardware.

How often should the RPG be inspected?

Before every use, and formally by a competent person at least once a year. Check the impact indicator on the snap hook; remove the unit from service after any fall and follow Frontline's service schedule.

Pair the Frontline RPG SRL with a harness and anchor

The RPG is the connecting device. Add a full-body harness and an overhead anchor rated for the system for a complete personal fall arrest system.
