CERTIFICATION — ANSI/OSHA · NOT CSA

Frontline lists the 50VTB as meeting ANSI and OSHA standards, tested by an independent lab accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017. It is not CSA Z259.10 certified. If your site requires a CSA-marked harness, look at the Safety Direct MH-series harnesses instead.

Frontline 50VTB harness FAQ

Is the Frontline 50VTB CSA certified?

No. It is tested to ANSI and OSHA standards. For a CSA Z259.10 harness, choose a Safety Direct MH-series model.

Who is this harness for?

Short-duration work at height, backup and site-visitor harnesses, and training programs where you need several harnesses at a low price. Crews that wear a harness all day are better served by the 100CTB or 110CTB with built-in trauma straps.

Why do trauma straps matter?

After a fall, a worker hanging in a harness can lose circulation in the legs within minutes. Trauma straps let the worker stand in a loop and take the pressure off while waiting for rescue. The 50VTB has none, so your rescue plan has to get the worker down quickly.

How do I pick a size?

S, M/L, XL/2XL or 3XL/4XL. Measure chest and waist, check Frontline's size chart, and fit the harness snug with the dorsal D-ring between the shoulder blades.

How often should it be inspected?

Before every use, and formally by a competent person at least once a year. Remove it from service after any fall or if the webbing, stitching or hardware shows damage.
