Is the Super Anchor Safety SideWinder LE CSA certified for Canadian jobsites?
No. The SideWinder LE is certified to ANSI Z359.14 (LE) and OSHA 1926.502 — not CSA Z259. Many Canadian sites accept ANSI/OSHA-rated equipment, but confirm with your authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) before use.
Can this SRL be tied off at foot level?
Yes. As a leading-edge / Class 2 device it is rated for foot-level (below-D-ring) anchorage where the lifeline may pass over a structural edge, unlike standard overhead-only SRLs.
How often does a self-retracting lifeline need to be inspected?
Inspect before every use, and have a competent person perform a documented formal inspection at least annually (some SRLs also require periodic factory recertification — check the manufacturer’s schedule).
